It starts with the basics: full-time and eligible part-time associates will have access to medical coverage starting at $38.30 per biweekly pay period in 2026 – about 1/3 less than the average premium at other national companies.  But there’s so much more – benefits and programs for associates’ mind, body and wallet.

6 Benefits We’re Expanding

 
  1. Expanding support for diabetes and weight loss: Expanding our Type 2 diabetes benefit, powered by Twin Health, to include associates who are pre-diabetic or have a BMI over 40.

  2. Adding a neurodiversity benefit: All associates and eligible family members get access to one-on-one support for needs like ADHD and autism through Lyra, and those enrolled in most medical plans will have access to neuropsychological assessments within four weeks.

  3. Expanding bereavement paid time off: Increasing the amount of paid time off for the loss of pregnancy, child, spouse or partner, which may also be combined with other paid time off and leave options.

  4. Piloting an AI-supported medical plan: Eligible associates in eight states will have an additional plan option that includes an AI-powered virtual well-being agent.

  5. $0 copay for certain anti-inflammatory medications: Some plans will introduce a $0 copay for medications like Abrilada.

  6. Strengthening mental health access: Associates enrolled in most medical plans will be able to receive covered care from the same Lyra providers they use for their 20 no-cost mental health visits.

  1. 10% associate discount card: Recently expanded to account for 95% of regularly priced items across the store, including food and general merchandise.

  2. Free Walmart+ or Sam’s Club membership: Enjoy more exclusive savings, including free delivery.

  3. Centers of Excellence benefit: Connects associates with leading health centers like Mayo Clinic for complex health conditions like cancer, often at no cost with most medical plans. 

  4. Family-building support: Access to financial support for fertility care, surrogacy and adoption, and doula services.

  5. 100% coverage for tuition and books: Walmart pays for associates to earn high school diplomas, certificates, credentials and degrees through Live Better U.

  6. 24/7 Doctor On Demand by Included Health: Conveniently connect with a provider virtually, at any time and at no cost with most medical plans.

  7. 401(k) match: After you become match-eligible, the company matches each dollar you contribute up to 6% of your eligible pay.

  8. Associate stock purchase plan: Share in the company’s success by participating, with a 15% match on the first $1,800 you contribute each year.

  9. Fitness pass: For as little as $5 per pay period, this benefit gets you access to digital fitness classes and wellness programs. Starting at $9 per pay period, you get access to local gyms wherever you work, live or travel.
