Grinch Caught Delivering Walmart Black Friday Cheer
Breaking news from Mt. Crumpit
The Whistler is pleased to report a who-tastic surprise, as customers spotted gifts on their doorsteps, left before sunrise. It’s the start of Walmart’s Black Friday Deals, today they begin. Delivered by the Grinch. It’s he! Yes, him!
Late last night, so it seems, Mt. Crumpit’s sole resident, once known for a lack of holiday spirit and too-small heart, slunked down from his mountain retreat with a bag full of gifts and into … the suburbs? Footage obtained exclusively by the Whistler shows a familiar green character slinking from stoop to stoop in WhoKnewville and America’s neighborhoods causing the right kind of mischief as he left wrapped packages — and a little holiday magic — behind.
“You think you know the Grinch, all growl, no glow, but see what happens when you let your heart grow,” says a local resident who found a mysterious pair of wireless headphones on their porch this morning. “Sure, he turned my reindeer statue around and nudged my package to the side, but still. The Grinch isn’t stealing Christmas — he’s delivering it! So fun. So cheeky.”
Doorbell Cams Show Grinch in the Holly Jolly Spirit
He’s quick! He’s slick! He’s there and gone in a blinky-blick. Multiple sightings confirm the Grinch has been up to some happy wholiday tomfoolery.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, the Grinch has more tricks up his sleeve
The mischief didn’t stop in WhoKnewVille. Just after sunrise, families — from Joy Avenue in Nashville, Tenn., to Tinsel Avenue in Indianapolis, Ind., to Snowmass Lane in Garland, Texas, to Greenwood Village in Colorado — began discovering surprise gift bundles on their doorsteps that appear to have been delivered by the Grinch.
Every surprise included a never-before-seen Black Friday deal, including Beats Solo4 wireless headphones, a Lego Minecraft crafting table, a FitRX massager, a pair of diamond earrings and a Keurig K-Duo coffee machine.
With these doorstep surprise deliveries, Walmart’s Black Friday Deals event has officially begun, running Nov. 25-30 on Walmart.com and starting in stores on Nov. 28.

Reporter’s Note
We tried to reach the Grinch for comment, but his cave had no Wi-Fi. In the meantime, the Whistler newsroom can confirm that several editors are still refreshing office doorbell cams in hopes of a delayed late-night delivery. This is a developing story.
